Join Our Volunteer Team!

Make a difference in the lives of senior cats who have lost everything.

If you’re looking to do something meaningful— and love cats—we’d love to have you on our team! Hearts That Purr Feline Guardians relies on our valued volunteers who generously give their time to help senior cats in need. Without our volunteers, we couldn’t do this work. Your time is always appreciated and never wasted. Whether you have a few hours a week, month or just want to help on special projects, there may be a role for you with us.

Ways You Can Help

  • Cat care and socialization

  • Cleaning, litterbox scooping

  • Feeding

  • Office tasks and phone calls

  • Running errands

  • Public relations, social media, event planning, and outreach

  • Fundraising support

  • Remote or at-home tasks, depending on your skills

Our sanctuary is cozy and feels like home. Our volunteers become an extended family to our sanctuary felines. It is a peaceful environment for cats and humans, alike. We think you will truly enjoy being here.

Ready to Volunteer?

Please note, we only accept new volunteers from time to time, depending on our staffing needs and a prospective volunteer's availability. Volunteers must be 18+ years of age and commit to keeping  a regularly scheduled time slot. Orientations are usually held by appointment at our sanctuary in the NW Tucson area and may last about an hour. You’ll learn about our mission, meet some of our resident cats, and see if we’re the right fit for each other.

Fill out the application below, and a member of our team will reach out to you soon!
