Our Programs

Hearts That Purr Feline Guardians is a small niche rescue focused on providing retirement home and hospice care to older cats who became homeless after their human guardian passed away or became too ill to care for them any longer. We try to make a difference in the lives of these vulnerable cats with the specialized programs described below.

Feline Guardian Lifetime Care Program
Black and white cat lying on a carpet next to a scratching post
What would happen to your cat if something happened to you? Our program is designed for those who worry about predeceasing their beloved cat and do not have family or friends willing to step in. Get true peace of mind without upfront fees.
Senior Citizens and Senior Kittizens Foster Program
Elderly woman nose-to-nose with an orange tabby cat
A "foster-for-life" program that matches older cats in need of homes with capable and loving elder persons in need of a feline friend. We cover the cost of vet care and are here to support you and your new feline companion for a positive experience. Only available in the Tucson area.
Adoption Program
White cat with no ears and green eyes on paper bag.
Though Hearts That Purr is first and foremost an elder cat care home, we sometimes have wonderful, older cats eligible for adoption. Adoptable cats are up-to-date with vet care and come with some vet care assistance for life. Please note that our adoption process requires an application with a home-check, a non-refundable adoption fee and a 30-day foster trial period.
