Would you like to be part of a dedicated team of individuals making a difference in the lives of cats that have lost their owners? Then consider donating your valuable time for Hearts That Purr Feline Guardians!
Hearts That Purr is an all-volunteer organization comprised of great people freely giving their time to be part of something meaningful. Without them we could not exist. No one who helps here is taken for granted and we promise your time will never be wasted. We need people just like you to help us fulfill our mission and save more feline lives. There are many ways to help, and some jobs can even been done from home. It is not only about scooping!
Whether it is office work, public relations, event planning, running errands, making phone calls, cleaning, feeding, play-time, etc., we have a need for your talents. In fact, the emotional well-being of cats in our care is paramount to our success due to the nature of our mission and there is always a need for cat-lovers to help with kitty socialization visits. You’ll find our sanctuary to be very comfortable, much like a good friend’s home. Except here, your good friend may be covered in fur! Either way, they will still enjoy your visit and the stimulating conversation sure to occur!
To become a volunteer, please fill out our simple Volunteer Profile and read our Volunteer Information booklet. Then, we will contact you about an upcoming volunteer orientation session.
The mission and philosophy of Hearts That Purr is a bit different than most other cat shelters; therefore, we ask that you attend one of our orientation sessions. These sessions cover our history and philosophy about cat care. The sessions take place at our NW location each month and typically last about an hour. Refreshments are served. This is an opportunity for us to meet each other, answer questions and see if we are a good fit. And to meet and greet the kitties, of course!
Should you have any questions, feel free to call us or email volunteer@heartsthatpurr.org
We look forward to meeting you soon!
